Arran Quarter Cask was initially matured in first-fill ex-Bourbon barrels for 7 years, then transferred into smaller American oak Quarter casks for a further 2 years. The smaller 125 litre sized casks produces far greater contact between the whisky & oak and a faster, more intense maturation. Bottled at natural cask strength without chill-filtration or artificial colouring.
A full-bodied single malt, balancing creamy vanilla and cinnamon aromas against bold, peppery spice with a hint of citrus. The palate offers notes of honey, coconut, pineapple and vanilla, alongside black pepper, ginger and oak spice. Lingering notes of cherry and cinnamon on the finish.
