Type: Single Malt
Region: Scotland – Speyside
Strength: 43% alc/vol
Combination ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, a classic Speyside offering by BenRiach.
Nose: Nutty, rich, damp earth. Almonds and hazelnuts, with appealing green-apple freshness aromas.
Palate: Floral and spicy, with clean, bright fruit: green apples, pears, honeysuckle. There’s some spiciness in there, too – a little black pepper, a hint of clove and a touch of creme brulee.
Finish: The spiciness hangs on, but the overriding character is fresh, clean fruit.
