Dusty and damp with rich-sherry-character. Mint humbugs and cherries. A fresh woodiness reminiscent of a delicate cognac. Chewy to taste, with more wood character. Well-balanced with an attractive finish. A superb malt.
Tasting notes:
Nose: Salted caramel leading to sticky toffee pudding sprinkled with nutmeg.
Palate: Dense, rich sherried notes perked up with coastal saltiness.
Finish: Warming and lengthy; salt and sherry towards the very end.
