Type: Single Malt
Region: Scotland – Speyside
Strength: 43% ABV
A whisky aged exclusively in ex-bourbon barrels from the Kelvin cooperage in Kentucky which like Glenfiddich is completely family owned. The result is a whisky with a fruity explosion!
Nose: Very fruit driven nose. Green fruits with touches of passion fruit backed up with very well judged vanilla. There are floral overtones – jasmine?
Palate: Soft and plush on the palate. Liquorice, vanilla, toffee with cooked spices -nutmeg and cinnamon. Soft old leather and charred pineapple.
Finish: Medium to long. Pleasing warmth with some spice from the tannins.
