Charring, toasting or setting fire to a barrel is an age-old method for invigorating barrels to intensify the aromatics and taste flavour profile. Jameson Select Reserve is a tribute to our coopers in the whiskey industry, who painstakingly give their bourbon barrels an additional charring to reveal their untold richness and complexity.
Because every barrel contains unrevealed and hidden stories; the trick is lure them out.

Tasting notes:
Nose: Rich and full, developing into the succulent sweetness of exotic fruits like nectarines, apricot and papaya.
Palate: Rich flavours, fruity sweetness from the grain remains consistent, waves of vanilla, toasted wood and spices.
Finish: Long with fruit and wood spices.
