Initially matured in 38 first-fill ex-bourbon barrels for 6 years, it was then married in a pair of 6000 litre Portuguese red wine vats for two years before it was bottled.

Tasting notes:
Aromas of intense campfire smoke, ripe plums, cherries, peaches, marzipan and sea spray fill the nose, complemented by notes of black pepper, salty peat smoke, apricot, lemon, stewed plums, apricot jam and rich smoke throughout the palate and lingering in the finish.
