In this 2020 sherried fruit and peaty smoke release, Kilchoman has drawn from 21 Oloroso sherry butts and bottled at 46% ABV without chill filtration or additional colouring.
Nose: Earthy and pungent farmyard notes, mixed with the maritime character of peat-smoked seaweed. Smoke-poached red berries and sweet daiquiris.
Palate: Amarena cherries, dried chilli flakes before a punch of barbecued mixed berries.
Finish: Lindt Excellence “A touch of Sea Salt”, peat embers lingering.
