This was made with a blend of single malt and single grain Irish whiskeys which was allowed a finishing period in peated cask to add its distinctive smokiness.
Dunvilles Three Crowns was an Irish whiskey produced by Dunville in Belfast years and years ago, though sadly the Dunvilles brand was lost to the ravages of time in the 1930s.
Fast forward to 2016, and the Echlinville distillery Northern Irelands first licensed distillery in over 125 years have revitalised the Dunville name and relaunched Dunvilles Three Crowns!
Tasting notes:
Nose Creamy vanilla, with a touch of honey cereals and Christmas spices.
Palate Milk chocolate, apricot, cardamom and white pepper.
Finish Raisins and sultanas, dusted with cinnamon.
