Description
The world and South Africa’s first whisky to be finished in a cask previously used for the maturation of Pinotage – the uniquely South African wine cloned in 1925. Also the oldest whisky to be released in South Africa to date. Light in style, prominent cherry, plum, tropical fruit and the typical Pinotage earthy notes reveal on the nose. The palate is clean with hints of the banana and pineapple ending with a lingering warm finish. Only 4,000 bottles were produced, with 3,500 available for sale (the remaining 500 were allocated to marketing activities).
