Replacing the beloved 1990 Airigh nam Beist, the Corryvreckan proved its worth the World’s Best Single Malt in 2010.
Nose: Tarry ropes dipped in molten toffee, hot tarmac, then orange citrus, butterscotch with salty tendrils of seaweed wrapped around smoked gammon.
Palate: Luxurious, oily, vanilla sweetly coating, liqueur-like, the tongue then exploding withtarry peat and salty seaweed, the medicinal notes lingering on the finish. A classic, perfectly balanced sweet ‘n peat dram.
