This is a 12 Year Old Irish whiskey from Dunville’s Very Rare range, which has been matured exclusively in Pedro Ximenez casks.
Similar to the now discontinued PX 10 year old, this has been finished in ex-Pedro Ximenez casks leaving a complexity of flavour seldom found in such a delicate single malt. Bottled at 46% and non chill-filtered

Tasting notes:
Nose: Layerings of tropical and orchard fruits and light pepper spices, encompassed in soft, powerful but controlled oak, and then a definite hint of Christmas cake.
Palate: The softer malt is complimented by the viscous sweetness from the PX casks, with more green apples, freshly cut green grass, banana cake, spiced vanilla custard and that wonderful Dunville’s candied orange grace note accompanying the dried fruits, raisins, figs and sweet luxurious sherry.
