Brand: Glen Scotia
Type: Single Malt
Region: Scotland – Campbeltown
Strength: 54.2% alc/vol
This is the second batch of Glen Scotia Victoriana from this Campbeltown distillery. This is a single malt drawn from casks with a particularly heavy char profile, imparting plenty of rich, roasty-toasty notes. The cask strength of 54.2% ABV produces a big flavour of tasty and berry notes.
Nose: Deep, complex, and toffee laden, with caramelised sugar and a zesty citrus spray. Then playful musty, dusty oaky notes arrive.
Palate: Oily and sweet, the charred oak and sweet spices wash the mid palate, leaving a moreish mocha and barley.
Finish: Long and sweet.
