GlenDronach Original 12 Year Old is a superb, richly sherried Scotch single malt, matured for at least 12 years in a combination of Spanish Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso sherry casks. Non-chill filtered, of natural colour and bottled at 43%.
Glendronach distillery is located near Forgue, Aberdeenshire, in the Highland whisky district. It was sold, along with sister distilleries Benriach and Glenglassaugh, to Brown-Forman in 2016.
The nose is dark toffee, molasses, wild honey, raisins, chocolate coated orange segments & black liquorice. On the palate the sweetest sherry, with a mid palate of Seville marmalade drying to a vinous, oaky finish.
