Given an all-new makeover in 2015, Inchmurrin is a single malt expression from the Loch Lomond distillery, and named after the largest fresh water island in the British Isles which is located on the Loch. Loch Lomond was recently purchased by a Chinese firm known as Hillhouse Capital Management, which was a great deal for the Loch Lomond Group as they expanded their spirits straight into the Chinese market. Inchmurrin 18 is one of the best value 18 year olds on the market. What are you waiting for?
Tasting notes:
Nose: Fruity, zesty aromas. Hints of caramel, malt and lychee. Orange rinds.
Palate: Candied lemon and tropical fruit, with a core development of sweet vanilla and gingerbread. An incredibly fruity little whisky, just building away on fruit ‘n’ nut chocolate bars.
Finish: Long, warming finish. Stem ginger and pineapple.
