This is the crescendo in the first series of releases, and composed from a carefully selected range of casks from the small quantity we have from before the distillery’s closure in 1993.
Tasting notes:
Nose: Elegant and balanced, boiled sweeties, pineapple cubes, dried apricot, gentle oak, candied ginger, lemon drizzle, marzipan, hints of white pepper and café latte.
Palate: Velvet mouthfeel with good body, hints of malt, thyme, butterscotch, tropical fruits, drying oak and softly warming spice, soft and long finish with lemon, honeyed porridge and toasted walnut.
