Description
Brand: Douglas Laing
Category: Whisky
Type: Blended Malt
Region: Scotland – Speyside
Strength: 46% alc/vol
Aged in a combination of sherry and bourbon casks, this is a rich and complex vatting.
Tasting notes:
Nose: Sweet and grainy on the nose, with freshly milled malt, porridge made with water, lemon zest, orange peel, redcurrants and a hint of woody spice.
Palate: Soft and oily, with some spice on the front of the tongue and developing richness – more porridge, tangy lemon sherbert, lemon bonbons, stewed apples with cinnamon, caraway seeds and a hint of sour fruit.
