Tormore Distillery was founded in 1958 by Lewis Rosenstiel, an unconvicted Prohibition-era spirits dealer whose Mafia connections with the likes of Frank Costello did not become clear until after his death. The signature malt for the Long John blend, Tormore is one of the most eye-catching distilleries in the world with a spectacular green copper roof and barred windows.
