To create a truly unique Cape Potstill brandy, Avante follows an age old French cognac style of blend. VSOP stands for Very Special Old Pale, where the brandy is aged for more than 4 years in oak barrels.
The marriage of a 4 year has sweeter notes of toffee and caramel like all good South African Brandies.
5 year brings more fruity notes of plum and apricot that cognac is known for.
7 year old brings more subtlety and smoothness from the oak with hints of vanilla like in a whisky.

Tasting notes:
Nose: Using the pot stilling method to extract maximum flavour and undergoing multiple distillations for smoothness, this brandy is then perfected in French oak barrels that enhance its velvety mouthfeel.
Palate: The result is a brandy that’s both delicate and smooth, with unfolding notes of vanilla, the sweetness of citrus fruits and ripe peaches, and the warmth of caramel.
