Born in 1909, Black Label is a blend of around 40 whiskies, with a distinctive mellow smoky note. The smoke comes from a glorious slap of Talisker that was thrown into the mix.

Tasting notes:
Nose: Complex, ripe and fruity,peat, nutmeg, vanilla, baked apple and raisin over a peat fire. Water brings out peach, heather and a crisp maltiness.
Palate: Sweet to start, syrup, white pepper, orange blossom honey, peaty base note. Very ripe and chewy. Moves silkily into every part of the mouth.
Finish: Long, rich and smoky.
