White oak is transported to the Spanish ‘sherry triangle’. Over the course of six years the staves are painstakingly hewn into casks by experienced coopers. Wood is air dried in the Mediterranean sun and skilfully toasted, before the all-important Oloroso sherry seasoning process.
Finally, the casks arrive at Tamdhu where they meet our vibrant new-make spirit. Over time, the marriage of carefully crafted oak and whisky slowly imparts a vanilla and rich fruity flavour along with a wonderful natural amber colour.

Tasting notes:
Nose: Shortbread dipped in vanilla cream, oak, citrus and peppermint.
Palate: Rich, soft oak coats the mouth, giving way to plums and chocolate limes.
Unshakeable sherried oak finish fades to dried cherries and honeycomb.
