Here we have a double distillation, 100% pot still with approximately four times the ester count of the regular barbet column still. Full ageing in an Oloroso sherry butt, filled 15/10/2014.
Tropical Aging >6 Years Highveld Aging <1 Year Produced in Mauritius and bottled in South Africa. Tasting notes: Nose: Wet tobacco leaf immediately transports you into a cigar lounge. Wild herbs in the back, dried apricots at the front, dried apples and a little cinnamon. Palate: Milk chocolate combined with some wafer in the middle. Digging deeper, we pick up banana chips, sultanas, caramelised sugar and wild herbs. Luxurious, milk chocolate coating.
